Bookmark navigator - keeping selection on first visual when switching to the second bookmark visual
Hi all,
I have two visual layed on top of each other on a Power BI reporting page.
To switch between them I am have turned them into bookmarks and I am using a bookmark navigator on the page.
I have unchecked the 'Data' option from the 'Bookmark' pane to allow for selection on filters to work on both visuals:
What I am trying to achieve, if it is possible, is when I make a selection on the first visual and I go to the second one, to see only what I have selected on the firts visual:
Let's say that I am on the visual which relates to bookmark 'B1' and I select the firts row with Id Num '123',
when I click on bookmark button 'B2' I want to see only data for Id Num '123'.
Currently, no matter the selection on the visual for button 'B1', when I select button 'B2' I see all the data.
I hope that make sense, and that there is actually a way of doing what I am after.
Like I have said, the filters on the page work fine when I am switching between the bookmark visuals, but if I make a selection to one of the visuals and I go to the other bookmark the selection is not transferring over.
Thanks,
Maria

Hi all,
Thanks for the suggestions, I have tried playing with the settings of the Bookmark as suggested, but it didn't work.
Also, the data for both bookmarks is the same, just the visual types are different, I know it sounds strange, but I have my reasons.
@Thejeswar , I think that you are right and there might not be an option to do is yet.
If I find a solution, I will paste it in though, so that it might help someone else.
Thanks,
Maria

Hi @mtomova
Make sure your both bookmark will have some data intersection other wise it will be of no use.
In my case my 1st bookmark based on category (big basket, flip kart)
My second bookmark is based on bigbasket. so there is common field value i.e Bigbasket.
if Iam selecting value from Big basket row. it transfer the filter to the 2nd bookmark. but if I select flip kart row. it avoids the previous selection
it will show you full data for B2 bookmark. without B1 selected data.
I hope I have cleared your doubts.

yes you can see what is been filter in first bookmark by unseleting data option on 2nd bookmark.
as you can see i have done selection on 1st book mark when I click on 2nd button it filters remain the same becaue of data (uncheck) option.

Hi @mtomova
for 2nd bookmark you need to unselect display and all visual option.
so that it will capture your 1st selection of a book mark.
I hope it may help you.

Hi @mtomova ,
I don't think this is possible.
As of yet, I have not seen the selections pass through between Bookmarks. i.e. The Selection in one bookmark may not impact anything in the other bookmark
