Bookmark Table Filters
- Anonymous1 year ago
Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
It looks like you want to filter context from visuals (like graphs or slicers) to carry over when switching between bookmarks without resetting or locking the state.
And you are right about slicer, as everything is on the same page, slicer sync isn’t needed and it also makes sense that you’ve left “Data” unchecked on the bookmarks to avoid locking filter states.
The challenge you are facing here is that when you're not capturing “Data” in the bookmark, it doesn’t preserve visual selections. So when you switch bookmarks and then interact with another visual (like a table), the visual selection is lost which is what you are exactly seeing. This happens because visual selections aren’t treated as persistent filters, unlike slicers.
You can try this workaround for your issue and see if this solves your issue.
* You can store selection using a disconnected table and DAX. If slicers aren't ideal and you want to preserve the selected value from a visual then create a disconnected table for the selection values (e.g., products or categories) now add a slicer based on that table and create a measure to filter the detail tables based on that selection. Use visual-level filters on the tables so that only matching values are shown.
I would also take a moment to thank bhanu_gautam, for actively participating in the community forum and for the solutions you’ve been sharing in the community forum. Your contributions make a real difference.

Try using below mentioned steps
Select the visuals and slicers in the state you want to capture.
Go to the "View" tab and select "Bookmarks".
Click "Add" to create a new bookmark or update an existing one.
Ensure that "Data" and "Display" options are checked.
Sync Slicers:
Go to the "View" tab and select "Sync slicers".
Ensure that the slicers you want to sync are selected across the relevant pages.
Adjust Visual Interactions:
Select a visual and go to the "Format" pane.
Click on "Edit interactions".
Adjust the interactions to ensure that selections in one visual do not reset filters in another.
