Bookmark Navigation not resetting to default

Hello,

I have this issue where my Bookmark Navigator selected button do not return to default when I click on my refresh button.

My Refresh button is in the below box image below. Currently this will trigger a bookmark that would set the page to default. Below tab that shows Chart 1/2/3 is a Bookmark Navigator. This will hide/show the charts associated with each button. The default chart that will show is Chart 1.

If I select chart 2 or 3, and click on the Refresh button on top, default chart 1 will now show but the selected button in the bookmark navigation will retain to the last selected button.

Anyone encountering the same issue? What could be the possible fix?

Hi @keithS ,

The buttons in the bookmark navigation bar is unaffected by bookmarks, because they are independent bookmarks. Maybe you should create an idea and vote for it.

Hi @v-stephen-msft ,

Thank you for your reply on this. Very much appreciated.

My first example has the Allow deselection turned off. I turned it on and it seems to replicate your provided example.

Though this does not fix the issue but a good work around as it deselect all button once I clicked on refresh.

What Im trying to achieve is to revert the selected button to Chart 1 after I click on refresh button.

Stephen -- Can you elaborate on this?

I'm having a similar problem, but with a bookmark navigator using the deselect option to switch between two bookmarks. In Power BI Desktop, the selector is set to deselected by default, but the button itself always shows as selected when the report first loads in the Power BI Service, even though the deselected bookmark is displaying as expected. This means the user has to click the button twice to view the "selected" bookmark.

Can I understand your answer to mean that the selector itself isn't affected by the bookmarks, and can only affect them? If that's the case, then will the bookmark navigator always default to the "selected" state?

Hi @keithS ,

It works fine on my device.

When clicking Chart2 bookmark,

When clicking Chart3 button,

When clicking refresh button,

The action from my refresh button is a seperate bookmark named refresh.

Could you please tell me how did you create your refresh button?

You may check my attachment for reference first.
