Hi,
I have blanks in my column in the query and I am trying top use it in a conditional column.
What would the test be, it is not null as there is not a null in the column only a blank cell.

You may use code below.
if Text.Trim([Column1]) = "" then
'null' may not work in the wizard unless the value is missing. "blank" cells in Excel files may have the apostrophe character -- so use **** ' **** (exclude asterisks/spaces) in the wizard
Here's what you can do:
Create a "Custom column" where custom colum formula =""
Then, reference the newly created, totally blank column in your conditional column setup and "Voila!"

Thanks Sam, will try that. outr of curiosity how would you reference th blank cell when using the conditgional column wizrd in Power Query
