Bing Maps Offline version for Power BI Desktop Designer

Hi all ,

I have two questions :

1- Is there any offline version for Bing Maps in Power BI Desktop Designer ? wothout connecting to the internet ?  if no  , is there another solution here without internet ?

2- Does Bing Maps require any firewall settings , ports , links , access , ...... ?

Hi @Hani ,

1.Based on my test, if you want to use Bing maps in power bi desktop, you should connect to the internet first. I'm afraid that there is no offline version for Bing Map currently in Power BI.

2.Shape map can use custom map that you can import your .json file into desktop as map source.(You should enable Shape map visual in Previews features under Options menu first)

3.In my opinion, if you open power bi desktop normally, you can use Bing maps directly without setting anything when you have connected to the internet
