Hello
I have been using a BingMap from the PowerBI desktop but it has stop working in Septeber this year. Even after I add the UK postcodes. it does not show any data point. I have cleared the caches from the option. But the map is still not showing. I also added US cities for a text. But only screen I get is the image below. I am using a work computer which might have some kind of fire wall or something. I work in the public sector. Pleaase help.
Thank you

Hi @Anonymous
Is there a proxy in the company's network? If yes, here's a solution, https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Map-Visualization-Not-Working-only/idi-p/717771

Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for reaching out to us.
1. Please check whether you can access and use Bing map in Microsoft Edge. https://www.bing.com/maps
2. Can they open and view the map fine if you send the .pbix file to your colleagues?

Thanks for your reply. I can see a map (please see the screenshot) but there are no dots. I wasnt sure you have add any dots in the map. My origianl problem was I can see the world map but there are no dots on my Bing map from the ofice computer. I could see my dots in my home computer. Any solutions would be appreciated.
Thank you
Our enginer has just sorted out the Proxy in our organisation. We had two proxy serviers but one of them is blocking the BingMap. So I'm on the one which works. Other thing I tried was although I couldn't use the BingMap from the PowerBI desktop, but the data on the PowerBI server was responding to the Bing Map. So I could've publish the data on the server and creat a dashboard on the server.

Any solutions to get it work would be appricaited.
@Anonymous If the visual cannot communicate with Bing Maps then you would get that kind of behavior. That is the most likely cause.
