I have an event table with 1 to many relationship to a risk table and also to a control table. There are events which have no related risks or no related controls.
I created a treemap visual for risk and for control and a table visual for the event.
I would like to click on a risk or event and filter the event and click on an event to filter the risks and controls. Due to this, I implemented bidirection cross filters between event and risk and also between event and controls. This works well, except that the events which do not have related risks and controls no longer show up in the table visual for event.
How do I keep the ability to cross filter both directions and still retain those events which do not have related risks and controls in the table visual?
Thanks.

I managed to resolve this by retaining single direction filter from events to risks but in the table visual for events, I put a filter that risk count must be greater than 0.

Hi Daniel
The behaviour I would like is click on a risk and it shows all the events related to the risk. Click on the event and there is a spotlight on all the related risks. But if nothing is selected, all events, even those with no risks should show.
Hello @zhona9
i confused. if you filter on a risk, it should filter the event visual with events related to that selected risks.
so if the selected risk has no events, the visual event table should be empty. (this would be the correct behavior) .
your requirement is that even if you filter on a risk that doesnt relate to any event, then you need to show the events even if they are not related to that selected risk ?
