Hello Team,
I have configured bidirectional cross filtering in power bi and pusblish the dataset to premium workspace. While browing it in power bi reports or using desktop - bidirectional filter is working as designed however it does not work if same model is analyzed in excel. Filter context does not work in excel - it performs cross join between site organization and site table.
am I missing anything or this is bug on excel side due to way it forms the query in MDX?
I have configured the log analytics for power bi workspace to capture DAX and MDX queries generated for this issue. My conclusion is - this is analyze excel issue not having ability to pass filter context.
As you see - power bi report do pass filter context from site org to site and other way while same model analyzed in excel is performing cross join by mapping all sub departments from site with filtered dept from site org
@shrikant23 , Can share screenshot of what is not working
I do not see any limitation mentioned here
