Between Dates Slicer

I have a slicer visual called Sales Date from Table1, which is refreshed daily, bringing new dates.

> This slicer visual SalesDate filters out many other visuals in the dashboard.

> I want to have the "End Date" on the SalesDate between dates being the latest date brought to the Table1.

I made some searches and it seems there are some PowerBI limitations on that.

Does anyone have a workaround?

Hi @GFRO ,

Please try this way:
For example, I need the slicer to have a start date of April 1, 2008 and an end date that is always today's date. I am creating a new table with the following DAX:

Slicer = CALENDAR(DATE(2008,4,1),TODAY())

Create a relationship between this new table and the other tables that need to be filtered, and use this new table to create the slicer.

When the time comes to the next day, I just need to refresh Power BI and the termination date in the slicer changes.

Hi @GFRO ,

If your slicer has been created using a real-time refreshed datasheet, then after the daily refresh is complete, you can simply click this eraser to save the publish.

I recently figured out a way to do this but with a custom slicer named timeline, you can add it, there's an option to get the latest date or the current date, try it.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, the Latest Date feature filters out only the last period of time.

I'm looking for something that keeps the start date and keeps updating the end date for the latest date.
