Best way to change input data for a parameter

Hello!

Does anyone know how to link a parameter with a search bar tool? I am trying to figure out a best way to change the value of the parameter instead of clicking transform data and changing the value of the parameter. Thank you so much for your help!

Hi @bjin3,

Unfortunately, you can't only manually modify the query parameter. Power bi doesn't provide other options for dynamic processing these. Query parameter and data view filter/slicer are worked on different data levels and you can't use child level to affect its parent.
Notice:
Data level : query table(query, query parameters) -> data model(data model table, calculate table/column) -> data view(visual, measure,slicer, fielter)
