Best visual to show time slipping

Hello together!

I want to show the (potential) slipping of release dates in projects in an visual. I have attached an idea, generated in Excel (blue table, shown as image).

Which visual, do you can reccomend, to show a slipping in time? If there is not a perfect fit, feel free, to suggest a solution, to show the release date slipping in a different way.

Best regards,

Hello v-cherch,

Thanks for your help. But I still did not get it working. I have the same problems as in your example (the dates are not in a row -> August bigger June?)

BUT, if have tried around with some other visuals and can now recommend: As Timeline

Hi @Thomas_Eu

Please check if Scatter chart could help.

Sorry, but I do not get it. I tried now 30 minutes, but it is impossible for me to generate this picture with the scatter chart.

I understand now, how to pivot/unpivot the original data to get a table which can be used (if all dates need to be in a single columns and the gates in a second column, i can now build this table). But I am still unable to generate the chart.

Is anyone able to tell me, which data I have to drop to which field in the scattered chart? Attached, please find my best solution so far 😞

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi @Thomas_Eu

You may use 'unpivot columns'.Please check the sample file.
