So I have a query around what is the best practice for manually uploading more dates as time goes on, from an excel spreadsheet. So currently, I am downloading data from a website for our earned media data from an external provider and there isn't an API option atm to automatically refresh it in Power BI. So at the moment I am building my own database on a weekly basis in Excel. I was wondering what the best practice is to upload the newly updated database to Power BI without changing all of the visuals etc. And just generally making that upload process seemless.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.

If the Excel file is hosted on OneDrive (It may only work with OneDrive for business - ie not a personal account) and you set up the source to point to the online file, the refresh will be automatic (once an hour I think). Check out this video from the gurus at Guy in a Cube
As long as the credentials are set up correctly, the data will be updated automatically in the service (once an hour I think) so you can use the report online with updated data, and therefore do't need to worry about manually refreshing.
