Best Practice? - to recycle calculated fields in multiple Power BI reports

Hi everybody,  please tell me your best practices of using identical calculation in mutilple Power BI reports from Excel source? ''

I can off course duplicate the PoweBI report, but if i need to make a change in a calculated field, it would be optimal not to be forced to repeat it in all reports.

Hello @bilingual ,

You could import the data and make the measure in one pbix file and use this file as a datasource to build another power bi reports, thus when you change a measure in this datasource file it will impact all the other connected reports.

Thanks a lot, i tried it and it looks promising.

However i can not make the dataset update with new data from the linked Excel files, do you know how to do so?
