Being able to cross filter visualization even when value is zero

Hey,

 

 

I'd like my user to be able to filter other visualizations in my report by clicking on bars in a visualization. This value can be zero however and thus my user does not have any bar to click on.  See below for a picture of the problem: The user can click on the june bar, but he can't click on the july bar. Does anyone know a solution or a possible workaround?

    Hi Anonymous,

    I have asked the Product Group and they have replied me that it is by design now and they will allow the user to click on the category label (the text) to cross-filter other visuals in the Spring of 2019, so I am afraid you could not filter other visualizations by using zero value currently, I suggest you could create a table or matrix visual below it to filter:

      I made a workaround which makes me not have to create an extra visual or slicer. Basically I created an extra invisible bar which if selected filters the exact same thing as the other bar. The white bars in the image are selectable and filter my other visuals. I would like to be able to make them transparent but I do not think there is an option for that?
