Bearer toke for API calls
Hi All,
I am using Scribe to Intigerate Power BI & Cvent.
When I use the API documentation "Try it" feature. It enlists the Authorization as "Bearer <some large token>" but I do not see any seperate call to generate that.
This gets generated automatically:
POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/datasets/1912a701-4374-4afe-b657-d34ec38c9c04/tables/initial%20data/rows
Authorization: Bearer eyJ0eXAiOiJKVdXBuIjoiVkpldGhhQGN2ZW50LmNvbSIsInV0aSI6IlJLYUNfV25fa0UtVjFDeGVXYmdQQUEiLCJ2ZXIiOiIxLjAifQ.cILjbwHmiz4JXmwTtUrqxtJnTxosEaScmBGhsakYxT_wSN6IRRXfKRT8Qz_mKarTeGE-_CjrDPcd51-Oc_F5YTS_I6Q-nJJ4FWH0bWRKAc4d5hVr6N3R8udYEmRqlOKvf7k4jDnRah_o_9GFvjxTngIG5IoxdnRNLdX_uB21jSxfPooO4l7Dh_bHYcE32AIINSifrSZy1Xt8nJkfAlHxYqsEMGTI8qrcTmpLA-CBAntD_8TJpDrwssVHWDInzXpCd7Un6O7jQs2siZvAZx7b9Y6LqyEHfrDhKq4eI0DlhlH8h8kt_9eD6dubfemYlyiG8E73FEf8lCa82ml0bOK1fg
Where can I find the specific call to generate the Bearer seperately? I will have to generate it seperately as I will be creatingthe Integration in scribe.
Thanks,
Vivin

Hi vivinj ,
First of al We suggest you to delete the dataset id and access token in your origin post if they are real.
We can create a C# application to generate it based on this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/walkthrough-push-data-get-token Or we can get the Azure Access Token by HTTP based on this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/v2-oauth2-implicit-grant-flow#send-the-sign-in-request

Hi,
Happy New Year!!!
Thanks v-lid-msft for checking in.
I am using Scribe as the 3rd party tool to connect to Power BI via the Power BI REST API. The challange I was facing was how to get the JWT and other bearer token to make the API call successfully. I am not coding anything.
I think (after a lot of research) that I need to publish an app on Azure AD and then I would get the required token to make the API (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/quickstart-register-app).
So your previous note on my query might have helped if I was coding and trying to access the API.
Now my issue that what shold be the Home URL while registering the app?
Regards,
Vivin

Hi vivinj ,
After register a new application in the Azure portal , we can get the Redirect URI in the Authentication.
We can get the Authorization endpoint in the Overview
We can assign the home page url in the Branding
