After emailing the Power BI team, i learned that you can only have one column, per report, that has the barcode data type. I have requested that the Power BI team update their help page with this info.
Hi, @airwolf39
It’s my pleasure to answer for you.
According to your description, you used a barcode filter in the filter pane, but it doesn’t work when scanning barcodes?Did you put it on'filters on this page'?
Can you share some sample data and your desired result? So we can help you soon.
Best Regards
Janey Guo

I have also verified using the "barcode filter history" that it is pulling the correct barcode. My relationships are fine, becaues if i manually filter a barcode myself using a slicer, it works. So why isnt power bi taking the correct barcode and selecting it in the report for it to be filtered?
