Bar like Visual

Been looking into the various visualtions and tools for Bar Chart like visual, but thus far have not found what I am looking for.

For context, we have several products, lets say A/B/C/D and each product has X number of processes, which may defer from product to product. For each product, the processes are squential meaning 1 has to finish before 2 starts and so on. And the outcome of the process can be red/green/grey.

Using the "Bullet Chart" one can get a bar chart, but there is no control on the color

When using the "Bullet Chart by xViz" there is some control of the color, however, it does the count and does not treat the color as a distinct entity

Hi @Aly ,

You can get the expected output by Matrix and conditional formatting.

@Anonymous thanks. I think I was just blindsigthed thinking of it purely as a bar chart.

The initial setup is daunting especially if the conditional formating spans a lot. Too bad there is no Legend functionality to it.

@Aly Can you post sample data? Maybe a scatter plot chart could be used for this.

Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.

Added context. I hope this is now inline with the forum.

@Aly I was able to use a Scatter chart to get what you wanted. However, you need to use numbers for your stages instead of text. See attached PBIX file below signature:

@Greg_Deckler Thats a way of looking at it, unfortnately without the name on the x-axis it is fairly difficult to read for the people who it is intended for.

@Aly Yeah, unfortunately it's a limitation to the scatter chart. You might be able to do something with Deneb or other third-party visuals.
