Bar chart with many legends

Hi,

In the below bar chart, you can see that we have so many legends, resulting in some segment values not being displayed on each bar. We need to generate a customer report using Power BI Robot in a non-interactive PDF format, which means we cannot adjust the plot size. Given these restrictions, is it possible to distribute the legends across multiple pages? This could be based on a set number of legends per page or arranged alphabetically?

Also, manual selection of specific legends on each page is not feasible due to the large number of accounts, and this has to be done dynamically for all the accounts, so I was wondering if it could be done through a measure or something similar.

Thanks!

  • You could copy that visual and filter out some of the legends to split them out as you say. That's the best approach I can think of since Power BI will always auto size/scale your charts.

Thanks, but as I mentioned there are many accounts with different legends, and the number of legends can be incrased for each account, so manually spliting would not be practical in this case.

Then I can't think of a solution for this case. It's part of the constraints for having many data points for a dimension.
