Hi all,
Having trouble configuring my barchart so that the sort order changes when drilling down.
Using a simple example here, picture of relationships and model.
Here is an example of what I would like to achieve in a table format, where the functionality is quite simple!
Order by Month Name at Top Level, and then by the Price.
In my Bar Chart Scenario, the month ordering works fine, as shown below.
however the next level appears as shown below, instead of descending by Price.
Below is the output I would like when drilling down, I have set this manually for demonstration purposes.
Can anyone help?? Seems like a very common need! Why is there no sorting by layer automatically like this?!
Help please!
Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for reaching out to us.
You have to set the order first, and then you won't have to set it manually every time

If you manually set the sort order, it overrides the Chronological order on the Date layer.
Please see example below:
Now correct on the Category Layer
But has messed up my Date layer.
No longer in order of Months.
I need it Ordered by Date on the top layer, but value when I drill down.
Thanks!
Did you ever make any progress with this? I'm having the same problem where I want to change the sort order once drilled through a layer
