Balanced Scorecard - A better way?

Hi All,

I am trying to build a Balanced Scorecard that shows month on month information and vairances.

I have tried using a Matrix, Power Matrix and a solution using a table as a reference (https://medium.com/microsoft-power-bi/scorecard-in-power-bi-c2fee459f717)

The issue I find is the Matrix doesn't look right; Power Matrix is complex but again provides limited visuals

The link above does do what I want but is mantanance heavy.

I could do somthing with Cards but this will naturally effect performance as I want to display 20 or 30 KPIS and be equally heavy on mantainance.

Does anyone know of a better visualisation or method?

JC

Hi, @JCA

You can create metric visuals in Power BI reports. Deep integration of metrics and scorecards into reporting solutions is a great way to drive team alignment and progress. New or existing scorecards and metrics can be seamlessly integrated into reports and even updated directly in Power BI Desktop. The photo below shows the Metrics display and comes with a link to the official documentation for the configuration.:

In addition, you can find the visual objects you want from Power BI visuals and download their sample files for viewing.

Thanks V,

The Scorecard function will not work with my current architecture as I am using power BI embedded for external users.

I think the issue is actually my warehouse not being configured to use the Power KPI matrix visual so I will need to write a subquery to bring the data in correctly.
