I have a problem with an Azure Maps visual in PBI Desktop. It renders fine at first when you put it in, but after some time, it turns into this:
If I then remove the location field and put it back, the visual renders as expected. Obviously, I am signed into Power BI. What could be going on, and how can this be fixed?
My PBI admin checked - it was enabled in the tenant already. He reenabled it just to be sure, and it was stable longer then, but I just checked, and it reverted back to the gray square. It seems OK in the Service. I have opened a ticket.
None of the other "fixes" apply, either.
Hi, @SDittmannFleet
Make sure Azure map is enabled at tenant level.

Also make sure you are using recent version of Power BI Desktop.

I think your issue is related to authentication or session management.
Check with the administrator that your Power BI account is correctly integrated with Azure Maps. This might involve checking API keys or other authentication methods used to connect Azure Maps with Power BI and if there is a session timeout setting that can be adjusted.
