Hi there,
Can anyone shed some light as to how to plot 2 layers using Azure maps.
Layer 1 polygons (IMD 2025) deciles.
Layer 2 data (coordinates) Long and Lat coordinates
I am trying to plot coordinates, but the polygons where there is no data are showing as blanks.
The polygons are uploaded as reference layer, and the data points are used as coordinates (Lat & Long).

Hi @Saul_Ring ,
The reason some polygons aren't showing colours is that Azure Maps only applies the colour scale when every polygon has a valid value in the Color by field. Even a single blank or missing IMD value will cause that polygon to remain unfilled. To make sure all polygons are colour‑based, you need to ensure that every polygon has a value, even if it’s just a default or fallback. You can handle this by replacing blanks in your IMD field, either directly in your data or using a simple DAX expression that assigns a default value whenever IMD is missing. Once every polygon has a valid IMD category, Azure Maps will correctly apply the colour scheme across the entire map, and all polygons will be consistently filled.

Use Layer 1 as Reference Layer (IMD polygons)
Always visible, fully coloured based on IMD decile, and
Use Layer 2 — Bubble/Point Layer (coordinates)
Independent, plotted on top.
This keeps the base map intact and shows points accurately
Can you tell me, how do you want polygons without data to appear?
>> Coloured based on IMD value, or
>> Greyed out, or
>> Hidden

Thank you, that is the current configuration. I want all polygons to be colour based.
