Azure SQL Has UTC but Power BI converting to military time

UPDATE: Sorry so I noticed the conversion is fine in Power BI but I need this to be in PST and include daylight savings time... I am in EST so when I use local time its EST but I need the EST to be converting to PST and include daylight saving

if I use Excel to import data the time is fine in UTC but Power BI keeps converting my UTC Time in SQL to Military which is showing the incorrect time. Any idea how to fix this pleasE?

Source= Azure SQL importing data into Power BI Desktop

Hi @powerbihelp87 ,

First of all, many thanks to @lbendlin  for your very quick and effective replies.

Based on my testing, please try the following methods again:

1.Create the sample table.

2.Add a custom column.

3.Enter the following formula.

Text.From(Date.Month([Start time]))&"/"&Text.From(Date.Day([Start time]))&"/"&Text.From(Date.Year([Start time])) & " " &Text.From(Time.Hour([Start time])) & ":" & Text.PadStart(Text.From(Time.Minute([Start time])),2,"0")

Hi @powerbihelp87 ,

Based on the description, try to add the custom.1 column.

Then, add the custom.2 column use the formula.

That's not military time, that's the standard time format in Europe.

Change your column types to "DateTimeZone"
