Azure Maps URL Reference Layer

Possibly an easy fix, but might just be 'one of those things'.

We're using Azure maps and I want to be able to use the URL/dynamic reference layer feature. However, I can't get the system to recognise the URL. If I use the 'upload' setting and upload a kml file it works fine; the layer appears and all is rosy. But if I try to use the URL function, it just doesn't appear.

The kml file is on Sharepoint and I've tried all of the iterations of the url for the file; the basic right-click and 'Copy link' approach, the highlight the document, click 'Details' and use the 'Copy path' option in the details window, and none work.

Is there a problem with using Sharepoint for this type of layer? Is there a setting that I've missed in the tenant or the options and settings?

    Hi Mat42 ,

Select Input URL and enter a valid URL to a hosted file. the hosted file must be a valid spatial dataset with a .json, .geojson, .wkt, .kml, .shp, or .csv extension. after you add a link to the hosted file to the reference layer, the URL will be displayed in the Input URL field. To remove the data from the visualisation, delete the URL.

We are still working to bring you more improvements to the Azure Maps visual objects. thanks for letting us know what you think of these new features and stay tuned for further updates in the future!

If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

I have been using the url option and a valid kml file and it doesn't work. That's my problem.

If I use the 'Upload File' option and upload the kml file, the layer appears fine. But, if I use the url option it doesn't work. I've tried both versions of the sharepoint link ('right-click>Copy link', and 'Details>Copy File Path') and neither works.
