Azure Maps Heat Map Size Field Not Working

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a heat-map in the Azure Maps visual in PBI Desktop. I have all my points plotted ok on the map, but I want the point size to be dependant on another field. The issue is that whenever I drop that field in, the map goes blank & all the points dissapear.

I've checked the field for errors, and ensured that no datapoints are blank. I've even forced any values > 200 to max out at 200, as it seems to suggest 200 is the largest value for pixel size - no luck.

Please can anyone identify what's happening?

    Ensure that the field you're using for point size is numeric and not treated as text.

    Remove other layers or settings that could conflict with the point size field to test if the issue persists.

      Hi Kedar, yes the field is down as 'whole number' and there's no other layers on the map. It's when I toggle the 'use size as weight' option to 'on' that everything vanishes

        You may want to take note of the following:

        1.Firstly, you need to modify the data’s Data Category.

        For detailed guidance, please refer to:

        2.Secondly, when entering both Location along with Longitude and Latitude, you should change the aggregation method for Longitude and Latitude to Average.

        If you are only using Longitude and Latitude or Location, you will need to disable the aggregation method.

        3.Additionally, it is advisable to use Azure Maps on a physical machine rather than a virtual machine, as the drivers in a virtual environment may differ from those on a physical machine. This discrepancy can lead to certain applications being unable to access the necessary hardware resources, given that the graphical processing capabilities of virtual machines are typically limited.

         

        4.Here are my test results:

        Currently, I have not encountered any issues in my test cases.
