Azure ML in Power BI
Hi Asking
To use Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML) in Power BI Desktop, the following requirements must be met:
-
The workspace must be assigned to a Premium or Fabric capacity.
A Premium Per User (PPU) license is not sufficient. -
The AI workload must be enabled in the Capacity settings within the Power BI Admin Portal, with memory allocation (e.g., 20%).
-
An active Azure subscription is required, with access to an Azure Machine Learning workspace.
-
The user must have appropriate permissions on the Azure ML workspace (e.g., Contributor or Owner).
-
If the model performs computations, Azure usage will be billed based on compute and storage, and may require available Azure credits.
This configuration allows models in Azure ML to be called from within Power BI Desktop using AI Insights.
