Average volume by filtered value

Hi,

I need to work out an average based on a filtered value but the actual count is a TEXT column.

I.e Average number of customers (cust_id) where filtered value (app_status) = Live that come in per day (app_date)

Given that the cust_id is a text, I'm not sure how to write dax to give me what I need.

Any ideas please?

HI @M_SBS_6,

It seems like you want to get the two level aggregate calculations on table records. For this scenario, you can try to use the following measure formula with summarize and iterator function AVERAGEX to calculate:

AVG per day =
VAR summary =
    SUMMARIZE (
        ALLSELECTED ( 'Table1' ),
        [app_date],
        "CustCount", CALCULATE ( COUNT ( 'Table1'[cust_id] ), 'Table1'[app_status] = "Live" )
    )
RETURN
    AVERAGEX ( summary, [CustCount] )
