Average IF as a calculated column

Hi all,

I am trying to create map in power BI that shows the speed on a road network.  Each section of the road has been defined by an ID and there are over 400 of them. The speed needs to be shown as the average speed based on the user selected filters of the month, time of day and direction. 

I am able to do this via a measure but the custom visual (route mapping) I am using doesn't allow me to show measures. I have also tried using a shape file converted to a JSON file. However, it doesn't seem like Power BI currently support linestring types.

Does anyone know of a work around??

Could you please elaborate about "I have also tried using a shape file converted to a JSON file"? Do you also use Shape map visual and create your custom map?
