Automation in Power BI desktop

Hi,

We are working on pulling custom logs from log analytics using KUSTO query and push this data to power bi and create visualizations using this data through an automated process.

We can use restapi and do this on powerbi service. Can we automate pushing of data in powerbi desktop?

We have created the custom logs and exported into powerbi as mentioned in the document (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/visualize/powerbi) . We have done this manually . 

We want to know if this process can be automated in powerbi desktop . is it possible?

Hi @leelachandrappa，

Based on my research, it is not supported in power bi desktop.

Automatic M query fetching is not supported in power bi.

Thanks for your response ! It would be good if we add this feature on powerbi desktop since powerbi service has many limitations when it comes to data handling..
