Hi all,
I have bunch of reports developed for different external parties via PowerBI Embedded, and I would like to setup an automatic email subscription for my users so that they can receive the reports in specific time.
Here is what I want to achieve:
1) As we are using PowerBI Embedded, users should view the report via our company's platform instead of PowerBI Service.
2) The report content should take Role Level Security into consideration because our users are coming from different companies / organizations.
Anyone knows how to do this? Thanks.
Best regards,Emily

hi, @Anonymous
You can put users of the different company/organization in different distriution groups, and then subscribe to the groups. If everyone's role is different, you need to add everyone's account.
RLS:Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
If it doesn’t solve your problem, please feel free to ask me.

Hi @v-janeyg-msft - to use the distribution groups, my understanding is all the users from different company/organizations will require to be Guest users in the AAD. Was that your intent as well, or is there a way to do it without actually implementing that?
@Anonymous , if power bi embedding is using only one user and the rest of the security is taken care by the company portal, then I think you need to take care of the subscription there in the portal.
If the users are map one to one then I Think you can use power bi email subscription
What if I have 100 users from different organizations / companies with different RLS per users?
How can I enable each users to receive the automatic email subscriptions as per scheduled date & time and view the reports only with the data that they suppose to see?
Is this possible to configure in PowerBI Embedded?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Emily
