Automatic Drill Up
My data has some Parent categories, each one of which has some Sub Category. I have made a drill down visual to make it more intuitive. Also, I have a table with values which fall in some of the Pare...
Only thing I can think of is to separate out your one visual into two visuals. Thus, when they select a parent category, the subcategory visual gets filtered as well as the table. Then, when they drill into the subcategory the table could be filtered or if you not have the second visual connected to the table so that it would remain at the parent category filter. Not entirely sure what you are after and what you are experiencing doesn't sound like what should be happening but I'd have to recreate it. Some sample data and steps to recreate would be great.
