Auto refresh possibility of the Pbix file

I have created a powerbi file where the datasource is connected to the cubes. The cubes data updates for every benchmark period. I would like to know the auto refresh possibility of the powerbi file when the cubes is updated. Will the powerbi file automatically gets updated when the cubes update in the respective benchmark period?

Hi @Akshay6478 ,

Power BI file won't get refreshed automatically.

You can schedule refresh in Power BI service or else you can refresh the dataset from Power BI service itself.

If you need help in implementing that do let me know. Hit the thumbs up button and mark it as a solution if this helps you. Thanks.

Hi @Akshay6478 - no, it won't. You can set a refresh for the dataset/report once it's uploaded to the Power BI Service, but the PBIX is just a file. It can't refresh itself.

You'll need to either open it and manually refresh the data, or download an up-to-date copy from the PBI Service (which is more trouble than it's worth).
