Auto fill connection parameters
Hello Power BI experts,
my task is to fill SQL Server Analysis parameters when opening Power BI from our application. Is there any way to fill those parameters through command line or any other way.

Hi Anonymous
You can use parameters as per article

Hi Mariusz ,
thanks for reply, but I have different kind of issue. Let me explain:
we are developing BI application and we would like to integrate PowerBI inside.
Our requirement is to programatically fill connection string parameters from our application.
I think that easiest way would be to run PowerBI from our application as new process with some command line parameters where we can pass connection string information. But I didn't found any way to pass those parameters to command line.
Maybe there is another option?

Hi Anonymous ,
Currently, the available values for a parameter can only from a hardcode list, and parameter value can only be changed manually. For the feature to get parameter available values from a query, I would recommend you submit a feature request in the idea forum: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas.
