I have a report that I built offline, in Desktop mode. My data source is information from a google sheet live connection. I use a web based form that reports information to a google sheet document as people submit things throughout the day.
I currently refresh my report in BI Desktop then publish to the web for my team to view. Is there another method that eliminates me from having to refresh the desktop version and republish? I would like them to be able to refresh the online view and see new data reported on the Google Sheets.
Thoughts?

You should be able to set it, so it auto-refreshes daily. Just go into the dataset setting online and ensure you've given the google credentials and set it to auto-refresh.
Once set up, you should be able to refresh right from Power BI online
