Was troubleshooting an issue a teammate received when they tried to set up a connection to our Data Lake Store from PowerBI. After entering our DLS URL they received "We cannot convert the value null to type Logical". I was unable to reproduce the error using the same URL. I was on the February 2018 update, they were on August 2018. I updated to August 2018 and started to receive the same error. I noticed there is an additional "Options" field now that allows you to specify Page Size. The field claims to be optional, but after I entered a number I no longer received "We cannot convert...". Doesn't seem so optional!
Please either make it a required field or change it so it doesn't throw a null exception if it is left blank.
Hi @Anonymous,
From your description, the error message show that it can't convert null value, perhaps you can try to replace these null value to a default value before your operation.

Yes, per my post when I populated the "optional" field with a value I no longer received the error. At this point my message to Microsoft would be that this is a defect...the field needs to either be marked as required and throw an error when not populated, or it needs to truly be optional and not throw an error when it is left blank.
Hi @Anonymous,
Based on my research, the problem is a know issue, you could refer to this link:
