Hello guys!
My dataset has reached it's limit on size, so I was wondering how can I audit the dataset to understand if there is any unnecessary data in there and remove it?
Is there a tool?
How would you do it?
My license type is PPU, and I won't upgrade to capacity due to numbers of users.
Many thanks!
Hi,
Is the report being used already?
If so, the best course of action here is to reach out to the users and find what they are actually using the report for.
Additionally, a screenshot of the report ( mask your data if necessary) would also help.
If this is a couple of graphs then a wide data table that the business are downloading and doing excel based analysis, then you need to check before you remove any columns.
Also , depending on your source & licensing, paginated reports may be a consideration.
Hope this helps
The Nick

Hello @ROG ,
Download the Power BI file and open it then go to power query and try to remove the unneeded columns and you can filter out columns.

But I need to know which columns the business don't use, so I can remove it.
@amitchandak Could you please advise?
Many thanks!
