The attribute slicer is scheduled for depreciatation, however there are no good alternatives to this slicer. It provides good use as a text search and visual. Other tested slicers do not handle large volumes well, while attribute slicer does. Is it possible to continue support for this valuable tool?

Hi @Royel ,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
You’re right that the Attribute Slicer is scheduled for deprecation, and it’s been popular for text searches and handling large datasets. As Microsoft moves away from custom visuals that replicate core slicer functions, there are a few alternatives to consider. Smart Filter by OKViz is the closest match, supporting search across long lists, multi-selection, and text-based filtering. You can also use the default slicer with its Search box for simpler text searches, or create field parameters with a slicer to switch dynamically between attributes while keeping visuals efficient.
Other options include custom visuals like Text Filter, Hierarchy Slicer, or Search & Select from AppSource depending on your needs. If this functionality is important for your workflows, consider submitting feedback or upvoting requests on the Power BI Ideas forum to encourage Microsoft to improve native slicers.

Hi @sgatto i did some research and do not found any official Microsoft announcement, blog post, roadmap item, or documentation that confirms this scheduled deprecation.
However, "Text slicer visual" could be an excillent alternate since it could handle multiple items and large dataset.
