Attempting to build a visual that includes subtotals

I'm attempting to build a visualization of our company's P&L but am having difficulty figuring out how to visualize the subtotals. The data looks like this:

   5010 Shipping and Warehousing1,305.27
   5015 Job Supplies785.64
   5050 Direct Travel
      5051 Airfare6,343.58
      5052 Lodging3,534.87
      5053 Meals1,153.50
      5054 Ground Transportation2,711.12
   Total 5050 Direct Travel$13,743.07
   5300 Cost of Labor
      5305 Salary19,915.40
      5310 Benefits223.45
      5315 401(k) Company Contribution748.14
      5320 Payroll Taxes1,342.13
   Total 5300 Cost of Labor$22,229.12
Total Cost of Goods Sold$38,063.10

Is there a way to build a visualization that shows the Total Cost of Goods Sold with the ability to drill down to the next level of Total Cost of Labor and Total Direct Travel and then to further drill down to each individual component of those totals?

I'm very new to PBI and am an accountant by profession not a data analyst so please be gentle. 🙂 Thanks!

Hi @tjwaufle ,

Here I suggest you to try hierarchy level in matrix. Your table should looks like as below. "Cost of Goods Sold" should be the first level and then second level, third level... and sales value.

Add all level columns into Matrix Row Field and then turn off "Stepped layout"

Result is as below.
