Associate a slicer to a single visual

Is there a way to lock a slicer to only apply to one specific visual on a page?

Hi @Anonymous

  1. Select the slicer.
  2. Tab Format > Edit interaction.
  3. Deactivate all visuals accept the one that should be filtered by the slicer.

With kind regards from the town where the legend of the 'Pied Piper of Hamelin' is at home

Hi,

couled you please explain the steps in more detail (pictures). If I´m on the format of the slicer I cant find "Edit interaction".

Best regards

They're referencing a "Format" choice at the top of your PowerBI menu options, it doesn't show up UNTIL you click on your slicer however.

See before:

and after:

The minute you click on format, the edit interactions choice is available.

Then essentially, you have the option to filter or none
