Assistance with Map
I have a slicer with individuals thorughout the country and the state they are assigned to.
How can I use the map to show the states associated with the selected individuals?
If the data is connected that should happen by default. If I filter anything that should filter related states.
Can you please explain with an example. If possible please share a sample pbix file after removing sensitive information.
Thanks.

You would put the State column into the Location area of the map visual. Hard to be more specific without sample data. Please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490
Depending on your data, you may want to set an appropriate Data category on your State column to give Power BI the heads up that it is a location.

Put state into location and individual like the person on the legend. That would be too heavy but should work.
Can you share sample data and sample output. If possible please share a sample pbix file after removing sensitive information.Thanks.

Thank you.
I have the legend and that accurately plots their assigned states on the map.
What I'm trying to do is have the slicer outside of the map drive their individual plotting. So when I choose John Smith not only does all of the other visuals show his assigned data but the map then shows his assigned states.
