Area Chart - Shade - Conditional Formatting for Multiple colors

It is not possible to have conditional formatting for Line and Area Chart

But i found this work around 

First Create Column Chart ! Create a measure for color and apply on the dAta colors for Column CHart

and then change the column chart to Line. The line Markers will be with custom color !

    I knew that was a possibilty as noted in the question I don;t love how that visual looks. If I was really desparate would it not be possile to split the measure for the line into two new measures one as all the positive variances and one as all the negative and then simply use both measures in the visual, give negative red shading and the positive green?
