Hello,
I have watched several MS videos on Power BI but just like most of the "help" from Microsoft, they are filled with marketing jargon and "what" you can do without actually showing you how to do it.
I have no problem connecting to data such spreadsheets, CSV files and even SQL tables. But when I add fields to a chart all I see is either the column names and data or column names and colored dots across the top (like a legend).
I did finally figure out that in most cases you need change the value of the selected field to Count of Data Type to get bars, or pie slices, etc to appear.
Are there any "secrets" to getting past the "you should know this through osmosis" level?
Thanks!
you can look at the excellent course on EDX it still a microsoft course but i havent seen all the marketing you mention., on the Learning guide to get started is a good source too.
