ArcGIS maps multiple variables

Is there  way to show 2 variables?  It seems you can have one as size and the other as colour, but not both as size or both as colour?  Also the filter works on both variables, but is only appropriate for one of my variables.

Overall seem the Excel 2016 3D maps is massively superior?

Currently there is no way to place two separate measures on Size. As you point out, filters will work with both measure values if you have one on Size and another on Color.

As for judging superiority, it would depend on your use case.
