ArcGIS Maps for Power BI - add polygon data

Is it possible to add my own polygon data to ArcGIS Maps for Power BI when using the Standard connection type? My organization does not currently have the ESRI add-on license for Power BI. They're looking into it. We're using the Power BI desktop version to explore possibilities.

Hi @smacgregor

Based on my test,it's not available to add polygon data on ArcGIs Map without ESRI.To achieve your requirement, you can get the custom visual via below:

https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA104379588?tab=Overview

For reference, you can check the video inside via below link:

Kelly

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thanks for the suggestions. It's not quite what we were looking for though. We have ESRI enterprise products and use them daily. We just don't have the particular add-on license for Power BI. The free standard map in BI doesn't work for us since our data does not have standard geographic values. We were hoping to be able to load our project polygons into the map.

Hi @smacgregor ,

Yes,your company needs to buy add-on license to use ESRI in ArcGIS Maps.

Kelly
