Applying changes to queries

I have a production table that I'm creating a report in for power bi desktop. I have a field that is numeric, like 2332, and if it has decimals it shows the places 323.22.    My question is, I want...

Hi vnicholl ,

 

Actually, you don't need to change the underlying data.Power BI Desktop provide many number type include currency symbol.

Under Column tools, change the number field type as Decimal number if you want have decimals. Chose currency symbol via the down arrow side by $ icon.Enter 2 if you want two decimal places.

    I don't have column tools. I only have up to data/drill. Nothing after that in the top part. So where do I find that on power bi desktop?

      You need click the column first. Then column tools will outcome.

        I click on the column, no column tools. I click on the header and no column tools either.
