Applying a single filter across data from different reports

I am working on building a dashboards that will measure business performance where I would like to be able to apply a single date filter to data from two different sources.  Currently, I pull customer data and reveune data from two different sources into an excel file where they live on two seperate tabs.  I then import that data into PowerBI.  Each report has a column for time (year, month, etc).  I feel like it is there, but I am just missing it.  Thoughts on how to do this?

    Hi EmHenn,

I'm a little confused about your scenario, the dashboard you mentioned is the report in Power BI Desktop or the dashboard in Power BI Service?

If I understand your scenario correctly that you have imported data from excel with two tables and you want to use one date slicer to filter the data for the different tables?

If it is, you could create a Calendar table with CALENDAR function and create relationships between the tables, then when you create the date slicer with the column in calendar table, you could filter the data for the different tables.

If you still need help, could you please share some data sample and your desired output so that we could help further on it?

    Best Regards,
