Apply a measure to a shape

Is there a way to apply a measure to a shape?  I'd like for the shape background color to change colors based on the value of a field  (I'd like to apply an If measure eq "Y", then turn shape green, ...

    Yeah you can format the fill (background)  based on a measure, by clicking on the FX button and then selecting Field Value in the Format style. Select your measure in the 'What field should we base this on'.
