Apply All Slicers affecting Field Parameters

Hi there

I've been using field parameters for a while. This allows the user to select the metric to be displayed in a visual. Now we want to implement the new "Apply all slicers" button in our dashboard to reduce the number of queries sent to the server, so the user has to make the selections they want in the slicers and then, click the "Apply all slicers" button to save the selections. But my surprise is that this button has an effect on the field parameter slicer, so if they change the metric they want to include in the visual, they have to press this button again to apply that metric/dimension selection.

I've tried to edit the interactions to prevent this new button from affecting the Field Parameter Slicer, but it doesn't seem to work.

Do you know of any workaround that might solve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Is your data source in Direct Query mode?  If not then "Apply all slicers" is pretty meaningless.

Hi,

Is in import mode. However, it's necessary to implement this option as we want to reduce the number of server requests in Power BI Service. It has been a recommendation from Microsoft Power BI expert team, we had a meeting with them and they recommend we to use this option to avoid slowness in the server.

Thanks

Smh.  I would rather spend my time optimizing measures to reduce visual rendering times.
