A long time ago I used the "New Group" feature to build a detailed Hierarchy for our organization consisting of 8 Groups/levels, it works great however I need to use it on a different dataset but can't find a way to do so. Ideally I'd like to somehow get the M code (if thats even possible) so I could easily add it to other data sets. With 20k Employee profiles it took almost a week to build and the new data set wont have the same parameters to filter by so I would have to go through all reps at once which is a lot of scrolling, and a huge pain given the lack of a search function in the group menu. Any solutions or suggestions?
What you may do is gather all the accounts and groups into a TABLE, and export them in a .csv file and load them into all the other Dahsboads that need them.
Is there a way to vote on this?
Yeah, to the best of my knowledge you cannot do that. Grouping in the way you are describing is not an M query kind of thing, more like a DAX kind of thing. But, no way that I know of to get to the "backend" definition of that.
