Another Sumif equivalent
Hello
We have a a database that we are trying to sum across.
We have a report that shows multiple report numbers and number of days open.
All reports start with an "A" designator. Each time a report is reopened, it gets a subsequent Alpha designator, "B", "C", etc.
We need to calculate the total time the report is open despite the number of times it has been reopened.
I understand how to do this in excel with SumIF, but we cannot get this to work in PowerBI.
I would appreciate some direction on how this is done.
| How I would so in Excel | |||||
| Report # | Days open | left (A, 6) | Is duplicate? | SUMIF(C$3:C$11, C3, B$3:B$11) | |
| 123456A | 15 | 123456 | Unique | 15 | |
| 134567A | 3 | 134567 | Duplicate | 11 | |
| 134567B | 8 | 134567 | Duplicate | 11 | |
| 145678A | 42 | 145678 | Duplicate | 59 | |
| 145678B | 17 | 145678 | Duplicate | 59 | |
| 768341A | 26 | 768341 | Duplicate | 60 | |
| 257698A | 7 | 257698 | Unique | 7 | |
| 768341B | 23 | 768341 | Duplicate | 60 | |
| 768341C | 11 | 768341 | Duplicate | 60 |
